i've seen others do it, i tried it, & it worked this time. no clouds, no rain, no tent, no tent weight, no tent stakes, no tent set up, no tent tear down. perfect weather at trail camp allowed me to sleep warm. the occasional thing buzzing around one ear or the other took some getting used to, though.
